Understanding the critical role that quality accommodations play in staff well-being, Bella Coola Heli Sport, a top-tier heli-ski operator, faced a unique multi-location challenge. As the winter ski season loomed and customer occupancy reached near full capacity, it became clear that the older rooms at multiple lodge locations across northern British Columbia were not up to the standard their valued staff deserved.
720 Modular crafted a multifaceted, executive solution tailored specifically to meet Bella Coola Heli Sport’s elevated needs. We sourced an exceptional, repurposed 8-module skidded dormitory from within British Columbia. Mindful of the unique forest settings at the various resort locations, we downsized the largest structure to 6 modules at one site, ensuring a perfect fit with the natural landscape. Not letting any resource go to waste, the remaining two modules were ingeniously utilized at another two of Bella Coola Heli Sport’s heli-skiing sites.
Our early and consistent engagement with the owner’s operational team helped us align the project specifics with the company’s high standards. This collaborative approach ensured the creation of accommodations that not only provide luxury and comfort but also blend seamlessly with the natural beauty of each resort’s environment. We worked with our trucking partner to find an alternative and creative way to access the site – this was to avoid cutting trees (see the video above)!
