Ski Resort Staff Housing

When the new owners of Cape Smokey Ski Resort in Cape Breton realized there was very little in the way of staff and contractor housing available in the Ingonish Beach area they worked with a local representative and 720 Modular to propose a solution to their problem.

720 Modular found a repurposed drilling complex in Northern Alberta that would fit the needs of the owner perfectly. 720 Modular worked with the Owner’s Rep to develop a scope of work and logistics plan to avoid winter works in Ingonish. 720 contracted a long-haul transport contractor who transported 6 modules over 5,000km to arrive on site at the start of April. The prepared gravel pad was ready in advance, and the transport drivers were met by 720’s site team who had the building weatherproofed, hallways constructed, blocked and leveled within two weeks after arriving on site. The remainder of the time on site was spent connecting sanitary, water, propane, and electrical services. The project was delivered on time and on budget by 720.
